It is 12:10AM and I am sitting on Old Orchard Street in Old Orchard Beach waiting for the bars to close. I can hear rock music in the background. Not many cars are going by and not many people are walking. It is a beautiful clear night and the streets are well lit. There are people lined up at Bill’s Pizza. I’m hungry but I don’t want to take the chance to miss a call for a rider.
According to what I have been told the time between 1AM and 3AM is prime time and there is money to be made because the amount of drivers can’t keep up with the demand so the prices considerably. If it works out as expected I will repeat the same thing again tomorrow night. I want the money and I am willing to adjust my schedule to maximize my earnings. Strangely I seem to have a lot of energy.
Saturday night in Old Orchard Beach did not go as expected. After a good day working Portland I got three late fares in OOB and got home at 2AM on Saturday Monday. I will not go back again too soon. Saturday was better in Portland and I was back to the old energy.
