This was the first significant snow on Portland, Maine today. Just in time a white Christmas for those of my friends that celebrate the holiday. For me it was a chance to break out of my cabin fever and head down to the Back Bay area of Portland. It is a tidal area surrounded by a three and a half mile walk, upscale homes on one city and views of the city on the other side of the water. It is usually well-traveled but today I had it pretty much to myself. Last year we had almost an entire winter without much snowfall. This year is beginning to start out with more of the same. It was an opportunity to do some photography with a wintry theme.
