A special message from my daughter Lisa,
June 11, 2012
Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this letter finds you well. Last year was a milestone in my fundraising thanks to all of you that supported me. I finally crossed the 100K lifetime mark, but will not stop at that. On August 4th and 5th I will be riding my 18th PMC bike ride to benefit the Jimmy Fund. It’s a 192 mile, 2 day bike ride from Wellesley to Provincetown.
Since 1980 the PMC has contributed more than 338 million dollars to the Dana Farber. Since 2007, 100% of every rider raised dollar has gone directly to research. I am so proud to be a part of this very special event. It is truly like no other. My goal this year is to raise a minimum of 10K.
I will continue to ride each and every year until a cure for cancer is found. This year I will dedicate my ride as always to the memory of my mother but also to all the others that have lost their lives to this terrible disease. Even more importantly, I will continue to ride for those that are battling the disease in hopes of one day finding a cure. Without each and every one of you and your very generous donations, we could not have made the progresses we have. This will help move us to a whole new level for all of those we know still fighting the battle themselves. We all know of someone.
