A Journey Through My Life

The Four Horsemen

Every once in a while I get a little peeved.  Maybe peeved is a little light to describe how IHorseman really feel about what I saw last night.  Well I didn’t actually see the whole thing last night.  I may have only seen brief snippets of what happened last night and I may have only also heard snippets of what took place last night in Arizona.

Some of you may have seen the latest and if God is merciful the last of the Republican presidential debates.  To call any of them debates is being generous.  What they are is a bunch of pigs rooting around in the slop and the mud of what has become the arena of American politics.  Oh yes my apologies to our porcine inhabitants of this world.

Now I am not piling praise on our President Obama.  I know he inherited an incredible mess and the economy seems to be heading for some kind of recovery in spite of the total inability of Congress to put aside all the petty grousing that has taken place over the past several years.  However don’t forget they are all in Washington for one purpose and one purpose only.  You all guessed it.  They are all there to get reelected for yet another term.

You will notice that I am an equal opportunity  mud slinger.  I have not seen  sufficient  evidence that any of them from either party is down in D.C. working for the people of the United States of America.  Democrats or Republicans are all guilty of the same greed that has afflicted this country for the last thirty or forty years.  The democracy has gone down the crapper of corporate influence.  Don’t think for a moment that we have had anything to do with putting any of these people into public office.  If you recall about twelve years ago the President was elected by the Supreme Court.

So enough about what I think.  What do you and your friends and their friends think.  You probably recognize the four horseman.  They are Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney…and they are the VERY BEST that this country has to offer.  Sleep well!

One Response to “The Four Horsemen”

The old adage of “if you aren’t part of the solution, you are part of the problem” really holds true with the majority of the politicians these days. They also are deliniated in the old nursery rhyme “Two Cats of Kilkenny”, who “fought and they fit, they scratched and they bit, until instead of two cats there weren’t any….” There has been no spirit of cooperation in the interest of jointly addressing this country’s many domestic problems which affect EVERYBODY and in fact the last four years have been wasted….all to make our new President appear to fail for their better interests. Since these congresspeople already have a top of the line health care plan, there was no incentive to work on any meaningful solution. So, I say AMEN to your post and am the first to admit that I have no answer for the STUPIDITY that has been so rampant. They are stuck on stupid and I hope the voters will clean house (on both sides of the aisle). Time is a wastin….
