To Live as a Jew

For some time now I have become more and more uneasy living in the world as a Jew. Even in these United States Anti-Semitism has been speaking with a louder and more accepted voice. Our president only gives lip service not wanting to name that faction of Islam which is clearly speaking with a voice that indicates their desire to completely wipe the Jews off the face of the earth. The  Prime Minister of France gets it why not Obama? Why not the rest of the world. I give this message from the past. It is as relevant today as it was 60 years ago.

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me”
