After completing the family slide show my niece Tracy from Toronto told me she had this wedding pictures of my mother and father. I would say this took place sometime in the 1920’s. As you can see my mother was quite beautiful. My father was ill for most of their married life but my mother remained a devoted wife. I never really appreciated her strength until my late wife Arlene came down with cancer. One day when Arlene was having a particular difficult day I stopped my mother’s house and I asked her how she put up with my father’s illness all those years? She replied, “When you love someone that is what you do”. That is the way my mother lived her life. In her mind when there was trouble everything will get better.
